Learn or deepen your mindfulness and yoga practice and find inner peace and serenity at the tranquil lagoon of Jambiani village.

Practice mindfulness and Hatha Yoga on the airy roof top terrace, in the tropical garden or on the beach.

Eco-friendly Villa Bahati accommodates 15 people, with 6 guest rooms around a spacious courtyard, direct access to the tropical garden, the beach and with our own spa treatments and massages. Refresh at our tikki-bar and swimming pool with spectacular view of the Indian Ocean.

Swim in the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon, walk mindfully on the beach, and perhaps you would like to swim with the dolphins of Kizimkazi? Visit the spice plantations, the giant turtles on Prison Island and enjoy snorkelling followed by a picknick on a sandbank and sail with a local outrigger boat – all highlights that our guests love.

Villa Bahati Zanzibar proudly supports the women sewing group Safi Sana Zanzibar. The women have been trained to design and produce home textiles, bags and fashion pieces from authentic African textiles. Now, with their own income, they are able to educate their children. A Safi Sana bag is yours when participating in the retreat.

Program

Program takes place daily in the morning, on 8 days (a free day on Saturday included); yoga practice before breakfast, mindfulness theory and practice after the breakfast and a yoga class in the afternoon (facultative).

Mindfulness practice of various Buddhist schools and styles, including Mindfulness based Stress Reduction (MBSR), mindful yoga and Hatha Yoga and breathing techniques. Experience new, constructive ways of dealing with stress, difficult emotions and thoughts, mindful communication and relationships.

The afternoons are free for deepening your practice, for excursions, a leisurely stroll on the beach, a massage, henna painting or reading in the hammock. There is also time for a counselling session with the MBSR trainer.

Meals

During the course we offer vegetarian Zanzibarian delicacies on a half-board basis. Dinner in numerous beach restaurants nearby the Villa.
